Process: Paper is very thick with pieces of bark embedded, when damp
it embosses beautifully. You can actually "feel" this print in relief.
Image: I usually work to the sounds of noveau flamenco,
heavy on the guitar. I like upbeat music without words and feel that in
music, as in art, words interfere with the experience. I wanted to capture
the sensuous flow and pulsating beat of the flamenco music, an art ancient
as the woodcuts. I smell (should I say, I hear?) a series coming, I already
started a second one of these.
