I started wood engraving to satisfy my detail oriented personality
and because they fascinate me. I can get lost into these little landscapes
that are no bigger than a post-card, both in the carving and in the later
viewing. Unlike the loose woodcut style that I have come to enjoy, wood
engraving takes a lot of preparation, patience, and control of line and
every mark.
