I started wood engraving to satisfy my detail oriented personality and because they fascinate me. Unlike the loose woodcut style that I have come to enjoy, wood engraving takes a lot of preparation, patience, and control of line and every mark. The human figure seems an endless subject matter, as infinite as the number of poses a body can achieve.
