I enjoy very much hiking in the nearby pine forest, seems every trail is flanked by two pines, doorways to a world of wonder. I always see deer, sometimes wild horses--we're getting to know each other.

One of my favorite walks up the mountain, always sunny, always see deer, sometimes wild horses sunning themselves in the meadows. I enjoy these so much more these days.


Process: Woodcuts and wood engravings are made by drawing an image on a block of wood, usually cherry in my case, then carving out the negative spaces. After carving, what is left is a big "stamp" of the desired image. I roll ink with a roller over the woodcut, place a piece of handmade paper on the inked block, apply pressure and transfer the image on the paper.
