Print Title: just you and me
Paper Size: 10x15 inches
Image Size: 9x13 inches
Block: Cherry plywood
Ink: Daniel Smith W/B and Akua
Paper: Stonehenge Ivory
Edition: 60
The image is all about adventure, maybe...or maybe about the unknown, or about
the thrill of taking off into a fantastic world if only to taste a new taste, to swim an entire sea just to see if I can, or to follow
the lure and the light of a new sun...
I renamed it "just you and me", the "you" being the sun, the night, the sea, an imaginary companion in adventure, my alter ego, who knows?
Process: Woodcuts are made by drawing an image on a block of wood, usually cherry in my case, then carving out the negative spaces. After carving, what is left is a big "stamp" of the desired image. I roll ink with a roller over the woodcut, place a piece of handmade paper on the inked block, apply pressure and transfer the image on the paper.
All my woodcuts are made in limited editions, signed and numbered in pencil. See my biography page for details about the artist. Signed Numbered Matted Woodcut Limited edition Landscape Surrealism 12 to 36 in
