Datura is a native Mojave desert dweller, sprouting in dry stream beds and rocky flats. It sports a spectacular snow white bloom, sometimes up to 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter, contrasting with deep green, almost black leaves. As most beautiful things in the desert, it is best to leave it alone.
Fuzzy leaves will leave a rash, the flower is called "devil's trumpet" in some species. (Wiki) Most parts of the plant are toxic, and datura has a long history of use for causing delirious states and death. It was well known as an essential ingredient of potions and witches' brews
