You could say this image was there before I found it, but probably another artist would have "found" something else. In any case, I wanted to pay tribute to one of the most exciting moments in the desert: that first bath of warm light coming from the distance. I have in the past spent many a summer night with my sleeping bag plopped down on the banks of a sandy wash, an experience I highly recommend to anyone seeking tranquility. To be awaken by the first light and then watch the desert come to life, minute by minute, is something that words are inadequate to convey.
