The Mojave Willow needs bees to pollinate, consequently the willow bloom has an attractive "runway" in the form of yellow stripes leading straight into the pollen rich flower center. I watch the bees head straight into the feast and wallow in the powdery yellow pollen until they are completely covered. Some seem to just sit and stay awhile, as if they were too drunk to fly.
